The building is situated in an urban area in Saudi Arabia, surrounded by a natural environment featuring rocky terrain and local vegetation such as palm trees. The site was chosen to achieve harmony between the building and its natural surroundings, leveraging open views and the privacy offered by the adjacent rocky landscape.
Design Concept
The design concept was inspired by the organic flow of the surrounding natural landscape, with INJ Architects aiming to emulate nature’s movement through undulating lines in the facades. This concept was translated into a design that relies on curved masses seamlessly integrating with the environment, creating a sense of movement and fluidity.
Architectural Composition and Treatment
The building consists of multiple floors distinguished by undulating facades that combine smooth white surfaces with dark metallic lines, adding a dynamic character. Materials such as painted concrete and transparent glass were used to enhance interaction with natural light, while large windows provide an open visual experience for users. The exterior design considers the local climate by providing natural shading to protect against heat.
Sustainability and Technical Solutions
The project incorporates environmental solutions such as natural ventilation through strategically placed windows and heat-insulating materials, reducing reliance on air conditioning systems in the hot climate.
